NISHNAWBE-ASKI POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH IN NORTH SPIRIT LAKE PDF Print E-mail

Date of Release: July 29, 2012

(North Spirit Lake, ON) On July 27, 2012, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service North West Crime Unit assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police Identification and Traffic Units began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a North Spirit Lake First Nation community member.

The next-of-kin has been notified and the deceased has been identified as thirty-eight (38) year-old Paul CAMPBELL of North Spirit Lake First Nation.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, July 30, 2012 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The investigation is continuing and further information will be released once it becomes available.

North Spirit Lake First Nation is approximately 550 km northwest of Thunder Bay.
