NAPS CHARGE AROLAND MAN IN DRUG INVESTIGATION PDF Print E-mail

(Thunder Bay, ON)  On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) Drug Enforcement Unit members, assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, conducted an investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

As a result of the investigation, police seized prescription pills and cocaine with a street value of one thousand seventy ($1,070.00) dollars, along with a pair of brass knuckles.

A 26 year-old man from Aroland First Nation was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

The adult male was subsequently released on conditions for court on June 28, 2019 in Aroland First Nation.

Aroland First Nation is located approximately 480 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
