Attawapiskat First Nation: Assault With A Weapon PDF Print E-mail
(Attawapiskat First Nation) On November 28, 2008, Nishnawbe-Aski Police responded to a report of a fight in progress within the community of Attawapiskat First Nation.

Police investigation revealed two males received non -life-threatening injuries after being attacked by a male with a knife. They were taken to the local hospital and later released.

Twenty-eight year-old- Paul Eli Mattinas of Attawapiskat First Nation was later arrested without incident. He is charged with two (2) counts of Aggravated Assault and three (3) counts of Breach of Probation.

The accused was remanded into custody and he will be in court for a bail hearing on December 5th, 2008 in Cochrane, Ontario.
