NAPS INVESTIGATE FATAL PEDESTRIAN & MOTOR VEHICLE INCIDENT IN FORT ALBANY FIRST NATION

(Fort Albany, ON) In the early hours of Saturday, May 16, 2020, the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service in Fort Albany First Nation attended the scene of a male adult pedestrian and motor vehicle incident.

The ambulance services were also at the scene and the victim was rushed to medical care but had succumbed to injuries.

The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Crime Unit is currently investigating this incident with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police.

This investigation is still ongoing and further updates will be released as they become available.

Fort Albany First Nation is located approximately 525 km north of Timmins.
