(Constance Lake, ON) – Police arrested a male suspect Tuesday in connection with an ongoing arson investigation in Constance Lake First Nation.
Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service working out of the Constance Lake First Nation detachment received a call for service in the late afternoon hours of Saturday, Nov. 16, regarding an arson that had just occurred.
Police learned an adult male suspect had poured fuel on an ATV and attempted to set it on fire.
When officers arrived on scene they observed signs of spilled fuel and evidence of a recent fire near an ATV.
The vehicle was located directly next to a home at the time of the alleged incident.
As a result of continued investigation, police identified, located, and arrested an accused without incident.
Timothy Kevin JR WESLEY, 34, of Constance Lake First Nation is charged with:
· Arson – Damage to Property
He appeared for a bail hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and was released with conditions and a future court appearance date.
